An efficient model order reduction scheme for dynamic contact in linear elasticity

The paper proposes an approach for the efficient model order reduction of dynamic contact problems in linear elasticity. Instead augmented Lagrangian method that is widely used mechanical problems, we prefer here Linear Complementarity Programming (LCP) as basic methodology. It has advantage resulting much smaller dual problem associated with governing variational principle and turns out to be beneficial reduction. Since shape zone depends strongly on acting outer forces, LCP Lagrange multipliers solved each time step. scheme, other hand, applied large system displacements computed advance by means Arnoldi process. In terms computational effort scheme very appealing because constraints are fully satisfied while acts only displacements. As extension our approach, furthermore take up idea Craig-Bampton distinguish between interior nodes zone. A careful performance analysis closes paper.
